When Art Becomes an Ocean’s Voice

THIRTY SIX for CORAL, presented by Project Zero at the Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat, was more than an exhibition. It was a movement where 36 artists transformed coral’s ecological crisis into cultural expression, showing how creativity can become a force for awareness and action. The presence of leaders like HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco and HRH Princess Camilla underscored the urgency of protecting reefs, tying art to global diplomacy and policy at a moment that coincided with the UN Ocean Conference.

Coral reefs are not just natural wonders, they are vital systems for marine life, food security, and coastal protection. Bringing coral into culture creates a bridge between science, art, and community, reminding us that protecting the ocean is essential. When artists, leaders, and citizens unite around a shared mission, they prove that creativity is not decoration but, a power that can help sustain the very systems that sustain us.
